The Elite Muscle Classic was a good end to my 2008 year. I got an incredible opportunity to meet and take some pictures with the Guest poser, Mr. Olympia 2008 (Dexter Jackson). That alone was well worth the entry price of $80 dollars. The contest was put on by Quincy Roberts and a great crew of guys/gals. Overall, the show was a bit unorganized as all shows are. The confusion in regards to when we were going on stage and when to get pumped was frustrating. And there were some mixed messages with coordination. I went in a little heavier than at the show three weeks prior. I wish that I would have been a little dryer, but I still won the Junior Middleweight division. Competition was stiff, especially in the Novice division. There are a lot of great bodybuilders arising in the sport. It was fun and a great experience. |

I definitely enjoyed my first show. I took first in Lightweight and also took overall Novice. I received a Niels Anderson trophy and an excalibur sword for my efforts. Didn't really expect it to end up this way, but I am super stoked it did. Hoping to get into the Elite in Greensboro, but a trip to Alaska might hinder it. I was down to 2.5 percent body fat; ensured the win. Go to collardphoto.com to see professional photos. |
