Excellent but slow workout today! Although I have a herniated disc, I can still do some back work, and suprisingly, I can still get a good workout. I have to concentrate more on widing the lats now since I can do exercises such as bent over barbell raises. Everything I did today was either a...
I was just stopping by your profile to see how your training is going and see that it's been awhile since you've been on. Still working towards that summer goal?
Nothing special - I like the seated calf raise, seems to give me good results, making sure to use a variety of foot positions so that the full calf gets the workout. Mostly though, I think that the calves came from my years in marching band, genetics and most recently from carting around the extra bulk around my middle (I know that won't be much help to you!).
True, you just gotta keep improving for yourself if for no one else. Plus, we often overlook some of our best assets because we see them all the time. For example - some one tonight asked me how I built my calves. I never really thought about it because to me they are just my calves, if you get what I mean. I'm looking forward to watching and reading about your continued progress!
Hmmmm...if I do the arithmetic correctly, you're currently at about 178lean body mass, with a target around 185 for your show. Your stats and your 9/22 twisting back photo show a highly competitive physique. If you're looking that good this far out, my experience would say that a slow, efficient diet would make you VERY competitive next July.
