During the good times and the bad times, the Body Building was always there for me. When I was happy it made me happier, when I was sad and hit low, it was my best friend and advisor, when I was depressed it help me to work through my problems; the mirror and the iron never lied or betrayed, never spoke sweet nothing and never sugar coated the truth...
The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver.
How I Stay Motivated:
Everyone expect me to be in a great athletic shape but it is not a good enough for me! I want to prove them wrong. I am never satisfied and I want to be one of the best.

You can take away anything and everything, but the Bodybuilding is mine and I am his slave.

I am sure you are pretty close. A friend of mine Rich was in that show. He did well. I am hoping to do 2 next summer. Just not sure which yet, hopefully I can grown now while not getting too fat.
Did you go to this years Excaliber? I missed it. I wanted to compete but just bought a new house... There is always next year right? I am currently 233 and hoping to very slowly lean down for next summer. If it all works out I should be competing somewhere between 195 and 210.
Thank you for your reply and for your very kind words. I don't think that I am amazing but I sure enjoy seeing people achieve their fitness goals which most times lead to their happiness also. I find bodybuilding not only the Fountain of Youth but a pathway to confindence and joy.
Keep in touch and let me know how things are progressing.
Your goal says that you want to and I believe that you can. Inside us all is the ability to become whatever we desire and if you have enough desire you can and will.
I wish you much success.

I currently train at a private powerlifting team with just the PL team. Most gyms don't like serious lifters. Could look for something in the area though.
