Background

When I Started: Feb 2009
HOW I STARTED:

I have piddled around in the gyms since I was in my early 20s and did nothing with it until the start of the year in 2009. I had been laid off from work and gain so much weight that I could barely tie my own shoes with out cutting circulation. I took some pics and joined Urban Active Gym.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I feel a since of accomplishment.

So I have 17 days left til my birthday and so far I am doing pretty good with my goals. I have lost about ten pounds which I don't care about my weight at all anymore as long as its not all fat. As for my stomach, which is my main goal to reach before my birthday, I have lost a couple inches and nowhere near as much bloating. What I hate is that I can not loose my stomach with out loosing some of my mass and allot of my strength. I threw up a set of 100lbs dumbbells six times only three weeks ago and if I was to try now I might get a set of 90lbs. I love that I am getting some results, but I r...

I have slacked off the last two months. The wife is 38 weeks pregnant and it was real easy to eat more and do cardio less. I have two weeks til the due date so I'm challenging myself for two weeks to loose as much BF as safely possible by going to two cardio classes at the gym a day and eating super healthy. So yesterday I did Spinning at 9:30am and Sports Zone at 4 pm and it really kicked my ass. This morning 1/18/10 9:30am I did 2.5 miles on treadmill and spinning at 7 pm, then worked out my chest. So far I feel great other than being a little sore and tired from so much cardio at once. Sund...

I have done six 45 minute spinning classes, they are getting easier, and I have lost about 15 pounds

bb24 My gym has some classes. I take yoga at least once/week, and thought about taking the boot camp or spin class. Sometimes classes are really good, and then other times......you know how gyms are. But I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, eh? Thanks for the info. Jun 6, 2009 7:18am
