How I Started:
Really had no choice at the age of 18 back in 1991 I joined the US Army straight out of H.S and exercise discipline was instilled in me then but now it has truly become my passion for life. I became an avid runner during and after my military years doing half marathons and road races but now i've found the love for the free weights and boy am i hooked!
Why I Love It:
I've discovered that it is the true fountain of youth, I look younger now than i did in my mid 20's. Its a great way to release stress and as i love saying my gym time, is my "me" time!
How I Stay Motivated:
Want to be an inspiration to my two boys now ages 15 & 10, if mom can do it so can you!
BB Accomplishments:
I consider myself as being "under construction", as i'm still a work in progress and want nothing more than to accomplish my body transformation and take on a new challenge by doing fitness competition.

Goal (Long):
After being physically active most of my adult life by being a runner, i felt as if something was missing so i started experimenting with weights. It has been a life transforming experience and very much still a daily work in progress, i feel the need to add the final touches so i can accomplish my total body transformation. I want to do my 1st figure competition in the next 12 months or as early as the end of 2009!

I wouldn't get as wrapped up around the type of carbs (so long as their complex) but the *TIMING* of your consumption to ignite maximum metabolic efficiency: Carb load *IMMEDIATELY* after fasting (sleeping 6-8 hours) and taper that off within 6 hours to ZERO carb consumption but ramp up Protien intake ... train your GI tract to burn, burn, burn!
