I started lifting in eighth grade to get stronger for football. Got into powerlifting in high school, but got lazy in college. Trying to get back in the habit now.
Why I Love It:
I am ultra-competitive, and weighlifting is a chance to compete with myself. Not a bad way to vent either.
How I Stay Motivated:
Mental images, either what I want to look like, or the weight I would like to push.
BB Accomplishments:
Set several state records in NASA Powerlifting. Just missed some American records.

yeah, i took a stab at the whole take over the world thing...but somalia poses an extreme problem...that and culture. you cant seem to stamp those two things out.
Nice lifts. I just attended an NASA meet and I'm currently training to compete in my first meet. Like the blog and great workouts. I need to step up my GPP work. Stay strong LIFT Strong!!

I started lifting when I weighed 100 pounds because I was small too. How funny I started as a powerlifter also but since 1998 I have been mainly putting on the posing suit. I actually did a bench press contest a couple years ago 2 weeks b4 a bodybuilding show and took 2nd so doing both can be achieveable.
