Me and a couple buddies decided '07 would be the year we'd become manbeasts. We started hitting up the local YMCA before work/school. Over time, I began to educate myself and then I was hooked. I was tired of just being a big guy who everyone asked if he played football in high school.
Why I Love It:
Stress relief, experience the body at work. Fills the void left by the absence of organized sports.
How I Stay Motivated:
Lots of ways. Now it is more of an addiction, so motivation isn't really necessary. AND HAVING GREAT SUPPORT!!!! www.physiquetalk.com <-- great new board, no trash here
BB Accomplishments:
I started and haven't stopped.
Forum Signature:
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
It's given me greater desire to succeed. More so, plan for the success and see the necessary steps to achieve. Which will be very applicable once I do settle down. As far as current family help; my sister has begun training and dieting. My younger brother Sam (17) has begun to take strength and conditioning more seriously. It's given me greater desire to succeed. More so, plan for the success and see the necessary steps to achieve. How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
DC training is serious stuff, wow. Day after my first DC leg day (improper terms but I know what I'm saying) my legs feel like silly putty. I'm on a pretty strict diet right now, contrary to Dante's recommendations ( I am getting plenty of protein though), and last night I woke up and ate half...
Compete when you're ready. It took me 2 yrs to win-and only after I found J. Your progress is awesome though. I have been trying to catch up with life since my contest. Today I'm trying to post here and on the PT board. I know what you mean about not wanting to look like a slacker especially compared to Joe & Jason. Something tells me you wouldn't though. My goal is to gain a little size too-I'm so small it won't be easy though. Plus I don't want to be 'big' just lean and fit.
Thanks-it was too cool to see the article. It's been 3 years of competing to find what works..(nattynutrition). My next contest is 3 weeks. I did a refeed last night-so today I'm doing great!!! Hope your training is going well too!
Hmm..the biggest difference in my pursuit to live healthier has been getting kicked in the buttski by a PT (vshape here) and seeing progress like yours! :)
5 years of serious lifting. And I will probably still keep aiming at being lean for a while. I don't know if I want to do the whole bulk thing again. How long you been lifting?
You're doing great Will. Hitting those BB poses- hear you have a great teacher!
Keep up the good work!
