Feeling good, in spite of knee issues and some soreness in the right shoulder, rotator cuff. I am able to work with the shoulder, so I will.

Background
I "worked out" when I was a teenager. Recently a friend at work encouraged me to stop making excuses for being out of shape. So I did.
It feels great to actually take care of myself for a change. After all, being in shape is something that you are ultimately going to pay for doing, or not doing, at some point in your life. It's also a way to not conform with what everyone else does and stand out as a person willing to put some effort in. Oddly it is also the source of ridicule from those who don't want to put in the effort themselves.

While calling any injury a blessing might seem overly optimistic at best, it can be if taken from the right approach. Glass is half full. ...Training goals, training with ego or brain?
Posted in Training : Mar 26, 2012 9:53amI have been really pushing the weight numbers and reaching new goals almost every 2nd week. As I do, I feel some ligament and tendon soreness and wonder if i'm over doing it, or over doing the pace that i'm reaching these goals.
My personal goal is more lean mass, better health and overall body image. Basically I want to look like the man I "think" I see in the mirror in my mind.
Does reaching record weight numbers make this happen? Or does training with my brain and leaving my ego at home (for when I get to it and the mirror) work out better for m

Posted in Training : Mar 09, 2012 2:16pmI see a lot of techniques and theories about incremental this and varying that. Very complicated programs that require a calculator and note pad, along with a lot of time.
While i'm sure these techniques also work, doesn't just lifting heavy weight, as much as you can for a given training session, over and over week in and week out with proper rest periods also have similar if not the same results? Does the human body know wether or not our routine is complicated or not? Or does it respond to work load?
I'll continue my self designed program and as long as I cont
