How I Started:
I first fell in love with weight training at a young age as I saw my dad working out using unconventional methods. He worked in a metal scrap yard and would use steel gears for weights(providing they fit on one of his bars)and I would see him do pull-ups on a wooden slat thing that was supposed to be like an arbor of some sort. My dad and three brothers all were boxers. I grew up admiring their desire and dedication. I started weight training in high school and still hold the record for the girls leg press.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling healthy and fit and I like seeing the changes that can be made with healthy food choices and lifestyle. Plus, I love the pump.
How I Stay Motivated:
By my desire to be better. Watching my husband workout and seeing his motivation. Plus, I love the way he looks at me!
BB Accomplishments:
When I lose 20 more pounds that will be a huge accomplishment for me.

Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
I do use a heart rate monitor during cardio and other workouts to track my intensity. I use the mio watch, it doesn't require a strap around the chest and I love that.
What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
Seriously wondering how a personal trainer could impact my physique. Unfortunalety, right now the option of hiring one is out of the question, but I think that it is the necesssary next step for me in order to improve upon what I have accomplished on my own.
