How I Started:
I started working out in my early 20's, but I admit that I didnt really do much to start with. I think this was mostly because I didnt know what I was doing as a beginner, plus I was too busy out having fun with mates to find time for it. I have always been on the lean/skinny side, so wanting to put on some size was always the driver. Then in my mid 20's I started to take it a bit more seriously and got a subscription to MENS HEALTH magazine. This helped in relation to giving me some tips and useful information. The best assistance I have found to date is paying for personal training sessions (when I can afford them), or training with a mate (when they decide to show up)......so yeah thats how I have come to this point.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling you get when you finish a workout, no matter how sh#t you feel when you rock up, once you get going and push through it, you get a real sense of accomplishment and energy. I also get pride out of seeing the changes in my body shape and size (although very slow), which is also taken as a big pat on the back when friends or my girlfriend notice.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have found that a huge motivation driver is seeing my progress and keeping to a routine. My goals are to fill out a business shirt with some shape, put on upper body size, get some definition in the abs and maintain general level of fitness.
BB Accomplishments:
Going from the skinny guy with no definition, to the guy with an athletic build.
