Overall Goal: Trying to break my easy workout habit, while staying injury free.

When I Started:
Jun, 2006
How I Started:
I've always been active, just wanted to take it to the next level.
Why I Love It:
I like being able to take off my shirt whenever I want. I hardly ever take off my shirt any way, but if I wanted to I could. 99% of the crowd I run with thinks a plate should be full of food.
How I Stay Motivated:
Checking friends and seeing everyones progress. Way to many 8 packs and 17 biceps to stay unmotivated.
BB Accomplishments:
Walking on my hands again even after back surgery, 1 strained rotator cuff, and 1 torn rotator cuff. 4-1/2 pack. 10k

This picture was taken 3-1/2 yrs before I started working out. I wasn't in or out of shape, just somewhere in between. Best described as skinny fat build.
Actually feel like I'm getting better at this bodybuilding.
Trying to break my easy workout habit, while staying injury free.
Goal (Long):
I want to be in great physical shape. Looking for the athletic body, not pro huge, not small, but big enough. My goal weight is whatever it is after a lifetime of weightlifting. I should have some decent (recreational weightlifting) muscles by then. My commitment to the slowest bodybuilding plan of all times is 100%.
Humm. CT scan is good - no issues- but pain still present. Taking my antibiotics and see if this clears mild pain away. Putting a cloud over my workouts. Haven't been running- its to freaking hot. Been stressed out with everything going on. I need to read a good scifi book, and...
German Volume training. Love the workout but on hold for the moment with RC issues.
The best GVT routine is commonly referred to as Optimized Volume Training. (OVT) This variation of traditional GVT involves a redistribution of the 100 reps you use. Rather than working each muscle group with...
yo Drew, solid progress bro. Keep it up even if it does seem like it's the slowest thing in the world. It'll show up one day and then whammy--you got a six-pack and 17" guns!
Hey Drew Good to hear from you! Glad to see you are shooting for mass bro. It is totally doable. It is all about persistence and keeping the diet steady. Look forward to seeing how that goes on your end. Be relentless.
I was reading some books about Mike Mentzer of HIT Theory (high intensity training, Mr Universe 1978). He says legs need more reps than upper body due to the type of muscles. Legs are designed to work harder and longer, therefore need more reps at less than maximum weight. I gave it a try last Sunday. I'm going to continue it. We'll see how it goes. Good luck.
Congrats u r now one of th Gods(sorry I mean cods). I used to be fixated to this "gains "thing too but honestly I can see YOU look MUCH better, besides being healthier, with lower body fat. There are ways to lift heavy in spite of low bf.May be in my next blog
