How I Started:
My big fat gut....My doc wanted to place me on a large amount of meds, due to health. Problems, high blood pressure, cholesterol at 278… not good. So my wife is going to help me get on track. So here I am.
Why I Love It:
I don’t at the moment, its become a necessity
How I Stay Motivated:
I think this site will help, posting post and be embarrassed of myself, pushing to improve. Also see photos of my wife when she competed. All pushing to improve. Until I improve the fat photos stay up.
BB Accomplishments:
Taken the first step out the door and off the couch
Just to be able to move around more, not to be out of breath at the top of the stairs. and when I walk fast to to feel the giggle in my waist.
Goal (Long):
I would like to drop my weight to 179 and to 13% body fat. Get my health under control cholesterol, blood pressure. And to enter my first Triathlon, I don’t care how small.
Hey, progress photos look good. Keep up the great work. 179lbs would be a little to light for 6'3. Don't focus on the scale so much...worry about how the clothes fit. According to the BMI index...I am considered overweight....LMAO. Use the mirror as your guide. Keep it up!!! :)
You are doing great. I can see the obvious difference in your photos and am glad to see that things are working out for you. Remember: "Nothing of great value in life comes easy. Things of the highest value sometimes come hard. The gold that has the greatest value lies deepest in the earth, as do the diamonds. To reach them you must dig deep!”
Sincere thanks for the kind comment. I appreciate the encouragement. The important thing is to remember YOU CAN do this! I know have mountains more to do, and my progress doesn't look like much to those that belong in the fitness magazines, to ME it is important, and makes ME have a feeling of accomplishment. YOU can have that same feeling. I have no doubt about your being able to do this - so DO IT!
CHEERS to you my friend for your efforts!
You can make your fitness dreams come true. I lost over 50 lb’s and dropped my bodyfat from approx. 36% to 10% in only 12 weeks by following the Body for Life program. It’s not super easy but still not so hard that you can’t reach your goals. Challenge yourself and you will get where you want to be and the results will be well worth the effort. Give me a yell if you wish.
CHEERS to you for getting started! I understand fully the work to be done because I am still doing it myself - Hang in there and take heart in your own efforts - some days that's the only place you will find a cheering section.
Remember you are a winner for trying!
Keep up the good work friend -
