How I Started:
I have always had a healthy lifestyle, but as I got older, I realized how much harder it was to take off the weight. Mike (My boyfriend) and I started working out together, and I have been doing my best to keep up with him...LOL...He is an Animal! Having gone through menopause, I can say that things do not move into place as they should...it takes a longer amount of time to see results...but I will do this!
Why I Love It:
I like seeing the changes in my body. Thank you for your love & Support Mike.

How I Stay Motivated:
Mike helps to keep me motivated. He helps me with my workouts, and I see his progress which keeps me going.
BB Accomplishments:
None as of yet....But I am working on it!

Goal (Long):
In addition to getting rid of the body fat, I would like to be able to do 15 chin-ups. As of today, 9-19-09 I can do 8 chin-ups.
By my 50th birthday, I would like to enter a bodybuilding competition. My boyfriend (Mike1961) is standing by my side, and helping me. He encourages me to do those things that at one time, I did not think I could do. With his help, and I hope some of the wonderful people on the bodyspace page, I hope to make this dream a reality.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
We motivate each other. We are both a bit on the competitive side, so we tend to push each other a bit more at times than we should. However, the benefits are that we help each other out, and we know when the other has reached their limit. Warm epsom salt baths, and massage after the workout always helps as well....=-) We motivate each other. Do you have a significant other?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
Thanks Netta. Your trainer would be a better source as he/she is there close by to help with measuring bf%, nutrition, program etc. Hard to do from far away. Just remember though that diet is the key to success. Those last final weeks are what counts. I'm always here to support and encourage. This will be a very rewardig journey. You will inspire many!
Thanks, I appreciate that you accepted my friend invite. Best wishes to you in accomplishing all your life and fitness goals. You and mike take care and enjoy the rest of your week.
