I grew up with 2 older brothers and was a HUGE tomboy. I played any sport I could get my hands on! I lettered in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track in high school, and played volleyball in college. After college, I spent the next few years staying in decent shape, but I missed being "fit" like I used to be. I have always been interested in the fitness industry, but never really got serious about competing until November of 2006. I am planning on competing in FAME and Fitness America in the Fitness Model and Bikini Model categories.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing what my body is capable of doing when I eat right and train hard. No one knows how hard it is until you actually do it. I truly believe it is the hardest sport physically and mentally to prepare for.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am always doing research from magazines, the internet, and anything else I can get my hands on. Keeping in a constant "fit" state of mind helps keep me focused. Seeing my body improve and getting compliments from others are a big help,too! I also try to network with other people in the fitness industry to gain new perspectives on things.
BB Accomplishments:
I am a beginner so none yet! This will be my first season so hopefully I will have some accomplishments soon.
I have made a slight change in my competition schedule for this year. Originally I had planned on competing in 2 NPC Figure competitions. However, I have decided that I want to concentrate solely on my goal for getting involved in the fitness industry, and that is becoming a fitness model. ...
