I went skiing for the first time in my life and I realized that I had no muscle endurance and very little strength. I decided I didn't want to be a weak, feeble woman in our retirement years so that Vic and I can still do all the things we've dreamt of doing. I joined the gym, got with a trainer and here I am. In my first 3 weeks I've already lost 6% of my body fat and gained 3 lbs of muscle!
Why I Love It:
I love how good I feel when I work out, I love that I have more energy and am happy 99% of the time! Endorphines rock!
I think of myself as an artist and I love the idea of using my body as a medium to sculpt into a piece of art.
How I Stay Motivated:
I visualize myself how I want to look and visualize myself doing all the things I want to do that would require strength, and muscle endurance. My family is so supportive! My hubby (SuperVic2007 here on BB) and my oldest daughter are my two biggest cheerleaders. I'm so grateful.

I hate having my picture taken and I'm usually the one taking the pictures so it's hard to find any of me.
This was taken ater my workout today. I worked legs and shoulders. I'm very pleased with my shoulders right now, still want more definition in the bicep/tricep area.
Ok well a month ago I was struggling and now I'm loving the progress I'm seeing. I'm leaner, I'm firmer... I'm that much closer to reaching my goal!!! Things are good, I'm back on track and it shows.
I was really psyched today when I did 110 lbs on the leg press machine!! WOOOHOOO!! ...
