When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
I have worked out sparingly over the years, but never really found that "groove."
I am closing in on 30 and I don't want to have any regrets about my health and what I could've or should've done when I was younger.
Why I Love It:
The burn and the results.
How I Stay Motivated:
Thumbing through the body space pages and seeing everyone else's results.
I do this program 3X a week, and intense cardio 2X. Each week I increase the weight by 5lbs. To allow my body to acclimate to each week's increase, I start with 8 reps, then 9, and finishing the week at 10 reps. I do 2 full weight sets of each excercise. Each excercise begins with 1 warm-up...
That is a solid full body workout you have put together. The only thing I would add to the weight portion is a 3rd set to each exercise. I would also recommend more cardio, 4-5 times per week for 30-40 minutes each. With a clean diet, you will build muscle and cut the extra body fat on your physique. Happy 4th! -Jeff
Hey Benjamin, thanks for the compliment and welcome to BodySpace. What I have found to be very helpful for both my body fat reduction and training is to keep journals to track what I eat and how each training session went so to improve each time in the gym. Keep the focus and keep training strong. -Jeff
Hey Ben, here's my typical workout routine:
Mon-Chest Tue-Back Wed- Legs Thurs-Traps/Shoulders Fri-Arms Sat-Legs and lagging body parts
I usually hit around 20 sets for each and try my best to keep my workout in the 90 min ranger.
Abs,forearms, and calves are hit everyother day depending on the day.
Goodluck with your goals, letme know if you need some more diet or exercise tips!
Close to 15 lbs gone so that's good and now with solid diet and training you'll be able to put together the body you want. Stay motivated. You'll get there. Andre
