When I Started:
2000
How I Started:
I developed a genetic condition when I was a teenager called pigeon chest which made my chest uneven and was very self-aware of it. I never was very athletic and wanted to build muscle to hide the condition. I got a gym membership after high school and at 5'10'' and roughly 138 lbs, I began my journey.
Why I Love It:
It's a great stress reducer and I love being athletic. I love the way how I'm very strong for my weight and I enjoy learning about human performance.
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror lol. Watching myself grow over time and looking at past pictures. I used to be a stick.

Skinny me :-P around age 21. Was around 160ish here and a skinny looking freak lol. I was a notorious overtrainer then working out over 3 hours a day. A total fitness noob.
Update pic. Look a lot leaner now. 196 lbs in this picture.
Hit about 210-215
Run a 4.6 40 or better
Increase agility
Bench 315 lbs 6 times
Strengthen leg muscles because I was such a noob in when I started that I ignored them (And still paying for it now).
Maintain a bf% of less than 8%
Ensure long-term health
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Overtraining and general lack of knowledge

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Join a good forum and research research research. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle. Goals are no reached in the short-term it takes long-term commitment and patience.
I hit 300lbs x 5 reps last week at a weight of 196.5 lbs. Now I got to work on my leg strength. My leg strength has always been lagging because I never trained legs when I was younger. My hack squat was up to 335 lbs x 6 reps on Friday so looks like I'm getting there.
