When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
I was involved with Shotokan Karate since I was little. In high school, I joined the marching band, and I'm still actively involved with that now as a music major at Troy University. When I left for school, I left the dojo, and my metabolism dropped. I need to get it back up and get back into shape!
Why I Love It:
It's great to kick butt at armwrestling, and I love martial arts. I also strive to live a healthy lIfestyle.
How I Stay Motivated:
Taking pictures of my progress. When I see progress, and feel progress, I want to work harder. I also exercise with one of my best friends, and we motivate each other.
BB Accomplishments:
I am mastering my own body weight through strength conditioning.
I lost sight of my goals and went months without doing anything (read my blog). I've been working out and eating clean for a couple weeks, now, and am starting P90X again in a week. I won't give up. I can't.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
Having a workout partner keeps me motivated. When we both make progress, it is exciting. Carrying convo with my partner also allows me to get my mind of how much time I'm exercising so that I can have fun and stay focused.Having a workout partner keeps me motivated. Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Knee injury. It was injured for about 4 months. I had to quit running, wear a knee brace, and rest it. I could not bend my leg while I was putting weight on it. It still gives me trouble to this day.Knee injury. It was injured for about 4 months. I had to quit running, wear a knee brace, and rest it. I could not bend my leg while I was putting weight on it. I've been out for a while-- my computer was stolen during a break-in, unfortunately, and I had to wait for a few paychecks to be able to buy another. Thankfully, though, I'm back! I'm working as a band director in Mississippi, at the moment, and I resumed karate classes about 3 months ago. ...
Congratulations on graduating!! Welcome back to this site after a tiny lay off and hopefully you'll attain your goals. ?your back and calves had some nice seperation.
Congratulations o all of your achievements. I belive if you work hard enough, nothing is impossible. I am trying to reach my pinnacle. But the climate here is keeping me from my weight gains. Keep up the hard work. It will always pay off.
I'm confident you will!!! It's not easy, but what others think doesn't matter.........in the end we all have to be happy with ourselves, it's a choice every morning. Trust me I grew up very fat and on the outside........time to find the real you!!!
