I have always been somewhat fit all my life, and weightlifting has been a big part of it (High school sports, USMC, USMC sports) After leaving the USMC, I got married and divorced. After my divorce, I let my body go because I had no one in my life to impress anymore. Back in November 2007, my kids told me I was "squishy and fat". They also said I would never get the woman of my dreams being fat. They were ever so right. So I quit smoking cold turkey, the money I saved from not buying cigarettes I got a gym membership, and the rest is history. Now, I am impressing my family and friends.
Why I Love It:
Feeling great, being able to taste food again, not smelling like smoke, and by making a positive and healthier lifestyle for my kids and me. Not being afraid to take off my shirt, to show the weight I have lost and the gains I am making in muscle.
How I Stay Motivated:
My Kids. They've been through alot with the divorce and all. They motivate me by coming to the gym with me. And along with my kids, knowing that someday, I would like to hit a competition. Even if I place dead last, I know in my heart that I'm number 1 to my kids and myself. "Look good, feel good, play hard, work hard...can't have one without another." Setting and being a good example for my kids! Also the compliments I am receiving.

Just got a mid-week motivation from fellow BB-spacer & decided to pass it on! If you're motivated then pass it on to 10 (or more) of your friends :> Have a great week :>
