When I Started:
Jun, 2000
How I Started:
I had a friend in high school who was genetically blessed. he took me under his wing and we became awesome work out partners. since then ive always had a lot of knowledge about fitness and weight training. i just need to stick with it for more than a couple of months at a time.
Why I Love It:
I absolutely love working out and any type of physical fitness other wise i wouldn't last very long in the Marine Corps. it makes me feel good and i love seeing results. I also love the fact that i will be healthier and hopefully live longer.
How I Stay Motivated:
Sometimes its hard to keep my motivation level up. I use different methods to keep myself up. I have some DVDs that i watch and they get me in the mood while im getting ready to hit the weights, i also have Muscle Magazines that ill read at work on my lunch breaks, and also i have music. Anything upbeat and motivating will help me get in the mind set. Now i have BodyBuilding.com to use and learn new ways of staying motivated. I can also meet new people that share the same hobby as i do. except as you can see, i have no friends on here.
BB Accomplishments:
I've never competed before, but i do remember once in high school me and my freind were doing negatives in the bench press. my motivation was running high that day because i did 300lbs. with a lot of his help of course. Man it felt like my arms were going to rip off. keep in mind i probably weighed about 125 wet.

Yea, your thread definitely helped me out alot...I am leaning towards the Bowflex Select Techs, tried them at Sports Authority and they seemed fine...don't know about the others...I haven't ordered them yet though...Looking to within the next week or so...I will let you know how I like them once I get them and start using them :)
