Tonganoxie High Attended 1987 to 1989 Tonganoxie, Kansas United States
When I Started:
Mar, 2007
How I Started:
I've been working out off and on since I got married in 1996. But I was never serious enough to make dramatic changes to my body. After having my second child and leaving the hospital weighing 175 lbs, I knew something had to be done. When my youngest was almost 2 years, I joined a gym. Not because I wanted to, but because my husband coaxed me (thx, baby!), and because the gym had a daycare. And then, something happened to me while training there...my body MORPHED! And now, I am a certified PT at the same gym and LOVING IT!!! God is good!!
Why I Love It:
When I walk into the gym, it's just me and the weights. The weights don't talk back, don't demand anything, don't tell me that I'm not good enough. I started lifting to lose fat; but now, I lift to keep my body and my mind in a constant state of transformation. (I think I'm going to cry now....) ;)
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching the changes in my physical body really makes me want to continue. I can tell when I slack off with my diet or my training plan, 'cause it shows up really fast! Plus, I am a trainer and it's important that I stay as fit as possible.

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." Rom. 12:1-2
She has been my #1 inspiration for the last 10 years. Her dedication to this sport is refreshing. Both her physique and her faith continue to motivate and inspire me to excellence.
A fellow trainer and military spouse, Cassie is one determined woman. She is a constant encouragement to me...and goodness knows I need encouragement. She's not afraid to lift heavy and train HARD!! Gotta love that.
