Overall Goal: Did my second bodybuilding show on October 17th. Now in the post show haze. Need to redefine my goals and get back on track after a few days of overindulgence.
Fit Status:
Cutting is going great, love my current lifting program!!
My love of working out and bodybuilding has grown steadily over the past few years. I have had several brushes with making the committment to compete - but have always scared myself away from it. I finally feel I am at the place I need to be to fully commit to training for my first show.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of being strong. I have always been a girl with excessive muscle mass. You know the girl - always arm wrestling. Now I have a place to use that strength and it feels right. I also love cardio - I love the way it makes me feel.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with motivating people. When I have a circle of friends who are into fitness and training it just feels like it is normal - we can't imagine doing anything different. Sometimes we joke about why can't we be the girls who just go shopping, or out for coffee. No we go away for a bodyblast camp, or go to early morning workouts. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
BB Accomplishments:
First show completed on May 16th - goal was to get on stage. Second show is on October 17th - goal is to bring home some piece of hardware!

Goal (Long):
Current Goal: October 20th - find a new goal. Just competed - need a new goal!!
Current goal: July 13th. My goal now is to start cutting again for my second show. I learned a TREMENDOUS amount of information the first time around and I am excited to do it again!!
First Goal - Jan 2009 (I have been talking about competing in a bodybuilding contest for several years! I have decided to finally go for it. I will be competing on May 16th. My first priority is to lose body fat. My contest weight goal is 135. This means I will have to lose approximately 30 lbs of fat. I want to have not only a good body, but an exceptional body.)
Laurey has the most fantastic attitude, she is driven - works hard and doesn't take any shi* - in a sweet way :-) She is super supportive and inspirational!
Wow it is so interesting to go back and watch the progression of my blogs from the beginning compared to how I feel sitting here now. My final weight before the show was - well, I actually do not know - they didn't weigh ups, but I am guessing in the upper 140's with about 12 - 13% BF. Now...

Lisa is an amazing inspiration to people trying to lose weight and to competitors!! She always puts in 100% and focus' on short term goals to make her long term goal a reality
