I started getting serious when the owner of my gym encouraged me to consider competing in figure & physique competitions.
Why I Love It:
It has always been a regular practice, because I love looking healthy and younger. It's great and it feels great. It also has helped me get through the loss of my younger brother Will.
How I Stay Motivated:
1st thing is God--Without him I would not be able to do it. 2nd thing is my family--My younger brother Will. If there is a "Will There Is A Way." My mother also keeps me motivated. She is my personal assistant. She does my makeup, she's my fashion consultant, and she is at every show supporting her daughter. And also, my dad always says, "If You Want It, You Will Get It." 3rd thing is my trainers--Stasi--without her I would not be able to present my physique, John-my friend and mentor and Mack-he pushes me to know end.
BB Accomplishments:
1st Place Tall Novice Winner at the OCB Battle of The Swords in Pittsburgh, PA---September, 2006. This was my first competition. Starting a non-profit organization in honor of my brother Will & his website: wcbfoundation.org

"I would like to gain more muscle this spring to be ready for competitions in the fall!"
Goal (Long):
"Naturally I have always had a nice figure. My weight would stay around the same. But, I want to change my nice figure to a more defined and well balanced appearance to be able to compete on a professional level. My main concerns are building more muscle overall & in the following areas: Lats, legs and calf areas. I know I can do this if I put my mind to it. The problem is patience. I need to work on that and keeping negative people from discouraging me!"
Hello WV girl! Good luck with your comps. this year and congrats on last years achievements. I am looking doing an OCB comp. in Pittsburg in October. Keep pressing on and God bless you.
i feel you! i sprained my ankle & fractured my foot right befor labor day....that killed me. didn't train at all for a few weeks, couldn't train legs fo almost a month. what a set back! diet is going well, trying to gain a pound a week(up to 253 now). havent decided on a show yet, but it will be in '07. if you want to exchange ideas on diets, training, etc, let me know.
I really enjoy the day of the contest. I try to get to know as many of the competitors as possible so the nervous energy kinda goes away while you get to know new people. I love everything about stepping onto the stage-especially when my kids and husband are there to watch me, they make me do my best. Are you training for any contests? Which ones?
Thanks, Lidia Conti did my suit. It was a super easy even though I am in Hawaii. I measured the way she asked, and it came delivered perfect! No additional alterations needed. Do you compete?
