When I Started:
Aug, 2005
How I Started:
All throughout highschool i was a smaller or average size guy. I was heavy in sports but just was quick on my feet. I always wanted to play football but the coach at the time thought i was too small for the positions that I wanted to play and it made me pretty angry. I wanted to show him along with everyone else who underrated me that i can be something better. After awhile it wasn't about them anymore, it became a obsession with the gym.
Why I Love It:
The gym is the only place in the world where i can feel like all my problems, frustrations, and stress just dont exist. Im in a zone that isolates me from the rest of the world and all that is on my mind is moving 45 lb plates all over the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
When I am not at the gym all im thinking about is the gym and my next workout. I could get angry about something all day and be able to bottle it up soley because I know i can go to the gym and blast my body with it. I set goals for myself and when I meet them I set more. Its like i will never be satisfied with my body and I always want more. As soon as i see results or meet the goal that I want I keep pressing on. I could have a thousand people come up to me and say Douglas your big and i still would go home that same day and think im the smallest guy out there. Thats what makes me come back and tear my body each and everyday.
BB Accomplishments:
first place and best overrall male in 9 of 9 powerlifting, benchpress and strongman competitions..have yet to enter a bodybuilding show but that is my goal as soon as i get back from this deployment to afghanistan..

..at first i was set on just doing me thing and not depending on anyone to help me reach my goals but after you grow up a little bit you realize that you aren't alone..there is always someone out there that thinks like you..has the same dreams..has the same passion..has the same drive as...
Douglas, thanks for the add...I do not see too many people going so hard on the legs...well, not in my gym. Best wishes to you man. What is your leg routine? My back is coming along fine but need help with the chest...
