How I Started:
I graduated high school 125# but thick muscular legs - just wished the rest of me was as muscular. Envied all the jocks I went to school with. Got talked into hitting the gym with co-worker. Loved it ever since! Met so many great people that encouraged me to strive for my very best and so I try to do the same now.
Why I Love It:
Love the pump and the self confidence. Love to kick azz and have my azz kicked by a workout buddy bigger than I am. Love it when I can lift more than them for a short size. Love to flex and see the pump, see the size, see the progression of my hard work.
Been working out since 1983. Have nutrition degree from University of Florida. Spent 8 plus years in the sport nutirition/sports supplement industry. Spent more than 6 years personal training. My background is very diverse. Worked with individulas of all ages, sizes, strenghts and goals. And I can honestly say that after spending a month - changes were seen by all.
How I Stay Motivated:
I need a good workout partner - someone to challenge me. I also love to workout guys and watch them transform. That pushes me also. I also see the health issues that plague my siblings and I never want to be a health burden on anyone as I get older.

My accomplishments have changed over the past few years. I get great pride when I train people or workout with people and they get HUGE. Love to see the transformation in others.

Goal (Long):
Some people were making comments about my old goal: "Want to be looking the best shape of my life, big and buff - without looking like a crack whore." So I changed it. My shoulder is screwed up. Serves me right trying to out lift guys half my age. So now my goals are to maintain size and cut some while protecting my shoulder. Most everything right now is lifting lighter but extremely slow reps and higher number of reps per set. Get down to about 10-15% body fat, but no go lower. Look healthy and be healthy. Make friends and encourage one another along the way. This is just one aspect of who I am, I still am working on improving my mind and soul as well as work on this body.
Incredible progress. Seems honest and down to earth that she put herself out there - flaws and all. Plus I am sure it helps that she is so beautiful. A refreshing classy beauty in the midst of so many trashy wanna be's.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
I was able to hold my breath while swimming in vacation in Hawaii, allowing me to dive down below the surface where all my friends stayed.

Now get this. Yesterday: 175 pounds. Had an awesome shoulder workout. Solo, but really pushed myself. Sweatin my butt off and pushin' as hard as I could with no spot and no workout partner(s). Dumbbell shoulder press. Slow and controlled. Managed 65 pounds for 6.
Good, well rounded 5 day workout - hitting all muscle and supporting muscle groups each week. I will add or replace exercises depending on the equiptment available.

Hey, brother! Long-time! Sorry to hear that you contracted Lyme Disease and had to start all over. :( I am in a similar boat as far as starting over. I was happy to find that I only lost about 10-15% of my strength during my layoff. I'm hitting it hard again and plan to be buff by Thanksgiving. Good luck with you goals brother, and remember to just take it one day at a time! :)
Abs are coming aboard keith nice work, good shape chest 2 maintaining size, starting to hit more cardio on my end to get mine out too, im 19.5% bf, need to push harder.

hey bro ! how are ya ? I am doing good . I am getting back into the4 gym starting today after a long-ish break for health reasons. I am getting back into it hardcore 3-5 days of weights cardio 5 days a week switching between running and swimming. I lost a little ground from recuperating but not to bad . I am still gunning for 8-10% bf andf ripped-ness!
