I grew up in Cyprus ever since the age of 3. A country where summer is a 9 month a year thing. Where the beach is a daily thing and the pool an hourly plan. I guess that most likely means that 75% of the youngsters on the beach have a wicked 6-pack.
I started working out at the age of 14 (im 23 now). Til about the age of 18 i wasn't too serious, i'd eat about anything and work out mainly on upper body (yeah, like every beginner who just wants big pecs and bis..).
I moved to France/Lyon at age 18 to live alone and start uni. The first year was tough and i didn't work out much.. at age 19-21 i worked out about 3 times a week, watched my food and did all body parts equally.
21-23: The SERIOUS phase.. I guess this is when i started getting serious: 4 times a week, good food, all body parts regulary and equally and some supps (protein/amino acids).
I'm now 23 going on 24 and my workout is my hobby, my drug and I'm very loyal to it.
Why I Love It:
I guess there isn't much to say: When you work hard, you earn results.. When you earn results, you're just never satisfied enough and the compliments and effect on others around you (yeah, jealousy) just keeps you going.
But the real reason is self satisfaction: looking the mirror and being satisfied. That just keeps the engine running and just gives you the right spark to keep you motivated..
How I Stay Motivated:
Workout with a serious partner, grow, eat well.. And see results. Results = primary source of motivation. Compliments = A big source of self confidence.
Well here goes: been busy as heck finishing my masters degree in international commerce. Now back at hardcore training, gained about 6kg and will soon be posting pics. Only consuming protein at the moment, no creatine or any other sups.
Summer approaches and abbs need to show! Cut cut cut,...
November-December 2006: 4x10 reps of any muscle with explosive movement when pushing (or pulling) and controlled slow movements back down (ex: Bench press would be push as strong as possible and go back down in 5 seconds.. this gave me some gains in strength and extra body volume).
lol, thanks ;-) All your pics are VERY NICE... awesome body! I first noticed them when i saw you were a friend of Hooley. So how is training your gf going?
