I always have been battling my weight since I was a child. A friend told me about bodybuilding.com and when I checked it out I was inspired by the Transformations Of The Week. I thought, if they could do it, so could I.
Why I Love It:
I'm not sure if I love it yet, but I am getting to enjoy it. In 2008 I ran in a 10K marathon and I hope that shedding extra pounds and adding muscle will assist me on my goal to one day run a full marathon.
In 2000-2002 I wrestled on my high school wrestling team. I was the only girl, and I gained a lot of knowledge about working out and lifting weights. I also have been an athlete my entire life, soccer was my passion. Unfortunately when the sports ended my weight went up steadily.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to one day be a Transformation story. I want to prove to myself that if I put my 100% into something that I can be successful. I want my transformation to also help others, as the transformations I read about helped me.
BB Accomplishments:
...getting to the gym every other day?
Since I am very new to this I'll have to update my accomplishments as they are made.
(1/25/09): Going to the gym 6 days a week. Training for the Long Island Half Marathon!
New (2/16/09): Joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training Program, now I will be running for a cause!

I would eventually like to be able to feel comfortable with my body. I have envisioned what I would look like when I reached my goal and I hope that one day I will get to see it in real life. I also would like to one day run a complete marathon, and of course wear a bathing suit with the utmost confidence.
Today was my first official TNT run (I missed last week, so to everyone else today was the 2nd run.) I was so nervous about this run because #1 I am not the best runner #2 I am not the fastest runner #3 I get intimidated by athletes who are better than I am. I woke up at 5:30am this...
thank you! I am no where near where I want to be yet. I just have to learn to be patient and take things one day at a time! I know that you are going to hav a great transformation in a short time! Work hard and good things will come to you!
welcome to bodyspace. You have a step up on a lot of people having a boyfriend that is supportive of you! I wish you all the best in your endeavour! :)
