"I want to lose all of the gut and fat and be a torn up, muscled up, professional that people look up to."
Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Matt Reile

28

Personal Website:
Gym:
YMCA Downtown
Gym Location:
Downtown Houston
When I Started:
Sep, 2007
How I Started:
I was a long distance runner in High School, but didn't start weight training until college. I got to my ideal size and weight, but then the real world, a job, and life in general changed things.
Why I Love It:
I love the high from working out. I love the feeling of exhuastion after a workout...it is fulfilling. I love to watch my waist shrink and my shoulder, legs, and arms grow. I also like the increased energy levels and general healthy feeling that comes along with a steady workout routine.
How I Stay Motivated:
This website definitely helps, knowing other people struggle and succeed also. I have started taking pictures to see my progress since it is hard to tell sometimes when you see yourself in the mirror every day.
BB Accomplishments:
So far...30 lbs of FAT lost, but a lot more to lose.
I want to lose all of the gut and fat and be a torn up, muscled up, professional that people look up to.
Goal (Long):
I want to have a body that people admire. In the office/executive world I see guys (including myself) that are overweight and stressed out. They say "I don't have time to workout." I am trying to make a change. I make time to workout and want people to look at me as a role model. I want to lose all of the fat I have and have a body fat around 7-9%, I want to be muscled up and in good physical shape.
Okay...I know this is a hokey title for the post...but I couldn't think of anything else. It has been 3 weeks since I posted any progress so I thought it was time to give an update.
To date, I have lost 25.6 pounds since September 2007, I have lost almost 9 pounds just in the last...
lol word travels fast geezoman lol. 'we can confirm nor deny the existence of any photographs of said tattoo should a congressional appointment ever be in question.' that's the official party line lol
thanks.. down under 170 again and still holding some good strength. Looks like your getting some good progress. How are you holding up after the surgery?
Thank you for dropping by and leaving such a great comment. Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) was a Russian dramatist and writer and he said: “Man has been endowed with reason and with the power to create, so that he can add to what he’s been given.” I believe that was true then and still true today. Keep up the great work.
I would like to congratulate you on all of your hard work and what you have accomplished to this point. Continue to challenge yourself to be the best that you can be and I am sure you will reap even more rewards and the hard work will be well worth the effort. I wish you all the best and look forward to watching your continuing progression.
Matt you've made some great progress shedding those pounds. Been there, done that with the hernia surgery last January. It will be a few months before you get to hit the gym. Take this time to make some major lifestyle changes especially in your diet and you will be ahead of the game when you are able to start lifting again. Good luck!
