The simple answer - I got tired of what I saw in the mirror and decided it was time to make a change.
Why I Love It:
You know the feeling you get the next day... that 'good' kinda sore? Thats why.
When I can actually stand to look at myself in the mirror...thats why.
When your friends and family can see the change without you mentioning it...thats why.

Accepting God as the father, Jesus as your savior, and the Holy Spirit as your guide has NOTHING to do with what religion you affiliate with...the only thing that matters is that you have a personal relationship with Jesus, the one who died for YOU, even if you say you don't believe it.

What twistdnlex Is Up To:
Dec 5, 2009
twistdnlexchanged Weight from 210 lbs. to 210 lbs., no change in the past 2 days
Its time to quit focusing on the scale and start focusing on mass.
Goal (Long):
My goals have changed as I have dug deeper into this site. I no longer look at the scale but at what I see in the mirror. I have lost interest in the pounds I lose and concentrate on the amount of iron I can move. One of my goals is to get from a 38 to 32 in pants. Im down to 33-34 depending on the brand already but Ive got a lot of extra flab that looks terrible hanging over the pants. My second main goal is to get the body fat down to the low teens. The ultimate goal for me is to continue to make gains with the iron. The sky is the limit!
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 35 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
13%

I cut out all sweets and sodas, most crap carbs, and added lots of protein. Chicken, almonds, eggs, cottage cheese, etc. are all big parts of my day to day life. I am not a slave to my food though and if I want crap food every once and a while, I eat it.I cut out all sweets and sodas, most crap carbs, and added lots of protein. What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Loud, fast music. Rap, techno, screamers, it doesnt matter as long as it gets me pumped up.
I didn't have the best self esteem growing up, nor did I have even relatively healthy eating habits. Through my teen years I would drink a twelve pack of Coke in one day! Full boxes of Mac N' Cheese were common dinners, and McDonalds was one of my best friends!
