When I Started:

How I Started:
I have always worked out because of playing sports since I was 5. But I never could gain much muscle, I was 5'10 140lbs benched 165 (max!) when I graduated HS and was the kid that got picked on. So when I started college I hit my growth spurt and started to gain some strength. As soon as I got to college I kept on lifting. I had a major self-esteem issue and at the time lifting was part of that growing process. I always thought you had to be the football muscle bound guy to get girls and just to avoid feeling like crap about yourself. And even though lifting helped to build a better outlook on myself, the real improvement came from my relationship I built with God. Over the years I just stayed in the gym because I love how I feel and Im competitive, but self-esteem is no longer the purpose or drive behind hitting the weights. Past 6 years I have done it because I love the competition with myself and I feel good at the end of the day.
Why I Love It:
I love being fit. The feeling when playing a sport that your body can out compete the next guy, because you're in better shape and it can keep up with my desire to compete. There is always someone bigger and better but I like to think I workout harder than the next person. It drives me.
How I Stay Motivated:
Like everyone you go through your ups and downs. Mainly on the days I dont want to lift, its the fear and knowledge that I can lose it all in no time. And when Im really struggling its knowing the other guy is in the gym. So I go when I dont want to. Other times its just listening to my body that Im over working out and so I take an extra day off, then come back the next day with the motivation I was lacking.
BB Accomplishments:
None, not really going for the body building look, but have considered doing a competition to have the experience.
I want to continue to push myself and continue to shape my body. Continue working towards your goals and good luck! WRECK'EM TECH!
Goal (Long):
I want to gain strength and muscle, but I dont want that overly bulky look. Ultimately I want to be chiseled with little give in the muscle, solid. I never want to sacrifice health for strength or size. I like overall fitness in the end. I wouldnt be happy lifting 500lbs if I couldnt run a mile at a fast pace or die trying. I'm currently working on my personal trainers license and training 4 people. I have gotten a huge satisfaction out of seeing those that I am working with get enjoyment out of their personal gains. It feels good to see those people making strides in their own personal goals.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
5%

Hi all, im new to this blog thing so bare with me.
I workout with weights 5 days a week, 3 on, 1 off, 2 on, 1 off. This way my routine as far as muscle groups varies in rotation every week. I'd be glad to answer any questions that people may have. I enjoy working out and that is the reason...
*I do this so that my first day after a rest day always changes. That way different muscle groups are more rested different weeks, plus then the days I go to the gym always varies breaking up the routine.
