When I Started:
Aug, 2009
How I Started:
I started working out to Gilad exercise tapes that my mom had in the basement as a chubby 16 year old, and fell in love with working out. I also did Tao Bo like a savage, but I didn't really start with weights until 1999. And I have been in love with dumbells ever since!
I make a point to do something everyday, from weight training, pilates, kickboxing, yoga or takin out some stress on the punching bag!
But this year I have decided that I need to get HARDCORE! That is why I joined BodySpace. To keep me motivated, accountable and on track to my goals!
I want to be in the best shape of my life in time for my birthday, January 30th, 2010!!! Come party with me in the deep cold north! lol
Why I Love It:
It's more of a love/hate relationship... some days I can't wait to workout, other days I need a small army to drag me off the couch.
But apparently six packs don't come in bags of oreos, so chicken and spinach it is! (I think Popeye was onto something...)
How I Stay Motivated:
I like being alive and I want to keep it that way for a long time. Also Bodyspace! Every time I am on here I see another person bustin ass to stay fit and healthy and it REVS ME UP!
I also love watching Biggest Loser, X-Weighted, Bulging Brides.. all the good weight loss TV, and reading Oxygen and Fitness RX never hurt either.
BB Accomplishments:
Completed first 30 days of ChaLEAN Burn circuit!! Whoop Whoop!

This is the pic that changed it all! My mom took this at a Canada Day picnic in 2003.. the sad thing is I had just lost 14lbs! hahaha Never again will I look this way! I keep this picture in my wallet as a constant reminder!
I just found the nastiest "quick-fix" diet online... The Sardine Diet! *gaaaaag* When are people going to learn that all it takes is hard work and health eating to get a body worth showing off. You can eat all the grapefruit/cabbage soup/cookies and sardines that you want, (but...
6 months of winter! that sounds horrible..guess it helps u spend more time working out inside..I go to GOLDS gym...you're prob familiar with that one..it works for me and i like the environment, makes me feel awake and energized..hard for me working out at home, even if i did have all the equip..you look like u put in alot of time.
I have been doing good. I am using the last couple of weeks of this year to gather information for next years training. Merry Christmas to u too!! How is ur day going?
To balance good eating working out and going out with friends is the hardest thing I have to deal with. The training is the easy part, eating right is way tuff and not partying with my friends is by far the hardest thing to deal with, sorry I can not help much girly.
