I used to be an ops manager for 24 Hour Fitness and figured I may as well use the free membership when I found out I was over 23% BF. I got more interested in fitness as I learned more anatomy while getting my degree in Massage Therapy.
Why I Love It:
Seeing myself get closer to each goal and the increased self confidence that accompanies it. Feels great to be in the best shape of my life!
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing all the unfit people around and hoping that I can motivate them to find fitness. I have no tolerance for apathy toward unfit living. I never want to be the person I left behind. My new lifestyle has brought me more happiness than anything else and I hope others will find the same. Most importantly, I especially love training with my wife GeminiJedi, aka my "Life Spotter"
BB Accomplishments:
Breaking 200lbs (3/4/08)

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I used to swim competitively and firmly believe it to be the best possible form of cardio. Zero impact (saves your joints), full body (or partial with a pull-buoy or kickboard), gets results faster than any other cardio, especially lung-capacity. Otherwise I typically do the elyptical on intervals or possibly a rower.I used to swim competitively and firmly believe it to be the best possible form of cardio. What is your cardio exercise plan?
I only do cardio when I need to drop more water weight for depletions
Upped the intensity tonight and went a bit closer to failure on most everything. I wasn't able to finish my very last set for full reps and was absolutely spent. It feels fantastic! As usual, 10 reps of every exercise:
Shoulders: Rotation 1
Bent Over X-Cbl Laterals: 30
Standing X-Cbl...

Hey Adam, I remembered you were a swimmer and thought I'd let you know about my race results. I did the 100 yrd free in the Grand Canyon State Games this past weekend and won. I actually did a time somewhat close to my high school times 56.66 sec. Hope your workouts are going well.
yeah I was starting to think the starvation response might be coming in to play a little but I thought I was trumping that with meal frequency, I'll check your calculator, thanks again.
total calories are about 1,970 I try to get 250g or more protien 90g complex carbs and 30g fat for the day. I did that for two weeks strictly but that is a difficult diet I was constantly visciously hungry and I felt drained, as a consequence my workouts suffered from my lack of energy therefore I have increased carbs back to about 120 for the day, and drinking about a gallon of water a day sometimes more. Thanks for the response by the way, open to suggestions.
Things are going okay. I'm trying to bulk up to 240lbs at my current BF (which is around 8 or so.) Hard to eat the needed calories, like you were saying. It's going slowly though!
I actually in the past got my best growth while I was doing heavy benching. Which I'm doing again, btw. But, I'm also adding in some of the ideas that everyone has been sending me. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the comments and ideas you left at my blog. I appreciate it - looks and sounds like things are still on track for you. Keep up the great work as you finish out C3!
