I found a little 1000 sq' start up gym in a mall that promised a cheap membership fee for signing up early before they opened there 60,000 sq' facility with wresting,MMA and fully equipped weightlifting areas. I stuck with them until I moved from Auburn where they are located and only spent a few months in the most bad ass gym that they built I have ever worked out in.
Why I Love It:
Seeing the changes are the most amazing thing but being able to do things with your body you couldn't at earlier ages is cool. It also feels good to persevere through what others can't, and know you can do it repeatedly.
How I Stay Motivated:
Mostly knowing how crappy I will feel skipping out. I also ordered and framed a bunch of posters from Universal Nutrition's Animal supplement website and hung them all over to remind me I'm not the only one in these trenches. Other than that, supplemental pumps and good music fill in the blanks.
BB Accomplishments:
Size and I started out 1 year ago at a 160lb bench max and am now at 250lb...Thanks FLEX!!!!
UPDATE:
10/24/06 finishing flat bench barbell press (3 reps) with 245!! It just keeps going up!!
OK the frosting: I flat benched 300lbs Dec 29th 2006! Woo Hoo (mmmm frosting.)
Get back on track in the gym, get my weight straightened out, run as fast as my kids and impress my girlfriend!
Goal (Long):
I have always wanted to have a real diesel type build and show my hard work and determination, especially in public. I love how my sons looks up to me my 9 year old wants to have big muscles like dad..although he will have to wait to do any real lifting! I have come a long way and am starting at the basics again but that's the funnest place to be in my opinion. My goals are simply to get into the strongest best shape of my life and look it, bench 300lbs, and keep up with my 3 sons and daughter! It's going to be a long road with big rewards along the way!

Description: This video is me benching 300lbs for the first time on my birthday. I know it's not correct form and not as deep as I normally go but I'll take it. To put it in perspective my 1 rep max was 160lbs in May 06 and I felt I may be ready for this lift given my current weights so I had to try. My goal in 6 months is to do it with good form.
Hopefully it plays for you. Post a comment if it doesn't, some have had this problem.
Thanks
The management

This freakn' sucks! Things were kickn' ass and I went and made some stupid big jumps in weight and BAM! big ole' pain in the arm! I've been off about a month and it's gotten slightly better but it's not there yet! I don't even have a job or insurance to go to see the doc either.
This program is ALL FREE WEIGHTS! (because that's all I have)
With this chest program I pulled out of the pages of Flex magazine which also happened to be in Arnolds Encyclopedia I read from cover to cover, twice!. I was able to go from a 160lb max flat bench press to repn' 230 pound presses...
Hey man, haven't seen you in awhile, how is life? I really had to focus for 6 months and then I entered my first bodybuilding competition. It was an awesome experience.
Yo T! Good to hear from you! It is also good to hear things are going better for you. Things are pretty stable on my end.I have thrown myself in work and training a lot so that takes a lot of my time!!!
Take care bro!!!
Thanks T! How have you been? I found a cool program to download called "Cron-o-meter".. it's been helping me to get the proper nutrients in my meal! I found out I've been eating WAY too much sodium! UGH!
good job, I love your goals, the kids and stuff, to be your best you've ever been, and to keep up with your kids, (not be the "tired, or lazy" dad that some are.. Yeah, I divorced 2 years ago, sometimes I wish the bitches would realize that they are hurting the kids by fighting over custody and visitation, etc etc
