I have always been athletic, and have hit a several gyms on/off since high school. For a long time, I was mostly just a cardio freak, spending up to an hour running on a treadmill and/or using an elliptical machine. I have moved away from doing such excess amounts of cardio. I find lifting weights to be much more challenging, rewarding, and definitely, more entertaining.
Why I Love It:
Working out improves and/or maintains my body. It keeps my diet in check--I want to look my best, so I will eat right/healthy. I love to wakeboard. Doing so is 10x easier when in shape. I also like to look good when (in a bikini) wakeboarding.
Working out is a stress reliever.
Working out keeps me active, energized, and motivated throughout the day (or night).
How I Stay Motivated:
No matter how bad or tired I feel, I know that I will always feel better (or almost always) after I work out.
Going to the gym keeps me motivated. I want to see improvement, and I will keep going back to do so.
And, if I'm really having problems moving...ENERY DRINKS are my friend.
BB Accomplishments:
I have worked out more often than not for around 10 years. In the past, I viewed working out as sort of a "necessary evil". I did it, without putting a lot of effort or concentration into what I was doing. I rarely looked forward to going. I just liked the results. I have been very dedicated to working out for over a year now. I wake up wanting to go to the gym. I have become very focused on what I do in the gym, as well as my diet. I challenge myself by setting goals, and I work hard to meet them. I am stronger than ever before.

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
Rice cakes & chicken. Lots of vitamins. Lots of protein. Bananas. Beer. What I can eat is very limited. IBS sucks.

Where do you get your workout programs?
I get ideas from what I read (mainly, this website), then make up my own workout. It may not work as well, but, with my schedule, it is impossible to stick with an exact/planned workout.
I went to a small local gym that has per trainers. paid 25 bucks to have a caliper test done. thought it was worth it, give me a good starting pt. i would think Gold gym should be able to do it.
