Goal 2: Win a bantam weight open class bb competition.
Goal (Long):
I was literally the 120 lb weakling in high school. So most sports were not available to me. I have been a fairly successful triathlete, but am looking for a new challenge. I currently weigh 132 and am at 9% body fat (Jan 20, 2008). For the contest on March 15, I would like to be say 135 @ 5.5% body fat. This would translate to a gain of about 5 lbs of muscle mass.
Update on March 20, 2008. I am several days out from my first competition. My weight has stabalized at around 135 lbs and 8% body fat. I have my eyes on the Cyto Charge Body Building competition in July. I can compete in the bantam weight open division which means I can weigh up to 143.25lbs. What I hope for is maybe 140lbs and 8% body fat in the July time frame. That would be pretty awesome for me.
Update on Dec 26, 2008. I have participated in three shows this year. I finished third out of three in the bantam in the last two shows. I will still win the bantam class in 2009 or 2010. I need to continue to develop my legs and work on pre competition preparation. I haven't shown my body to be as good as it can be on competition day. For 2009, I want to break through a couple of barriers. I have been gaining muscle, but it is hard! I want to get to 138lbs and 7% for a mid year show. To do this I need to get to 148 lbs. I am at 141.5 today. I also am looking for a top three finish in the masters (Pittsburgh show) bantam class this year or next. I also want a top two finish in the masters 50-59 bantam class in 2012. (There were no competitors in this class in 2008, in Pittsburgh, so I have a pretty good chance of achieving this!) Enough talk. On to the gym to make it happen.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 5 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
6.5%

What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I like to run. It probably hurts my bodybuilding, but I am pretty good at it. I just ran a half marathon in sub 1:25. I was in the top 1% of men in my age group.
I am looking at a spring 2009 competition. I am at 140 lbs now. I would love to get to 150 by Dec 31. That would probably put me back here at 140, but with five or six additional pounds of muscle, for the show. That would be ten pounds heavier than the state show.
Tri, you're welcome for the comment I left about your pics! You have worked hard and have an impressive physique to show for it. Keep up your good work!
hey guy, thanks for stopping by my site.
hell guy you look awesome, I wish i accomplished 1/2 of what you already have achieved. And how much more weight do you want to gain? is the competition in Pitt this year (09)?
stay focused and keep in touch
Lots of middleweights and the top 6 could win most shows. Steve Hess (multiple wins and 1st at CO), Yusef (1st at Rocky and 3rd at CO), ... I normally place 2nd or 3rd in the middleweights but ended up in the middle of the pack. Grrrrr.....
