How I Started:
I started working in a gym two and a half years ago & had couple good girlfriends who competed as figure competitors & when I saw their bodies transform from week to week, i decided that i wanted to try it & low a behold it turned into the best thing that iad ever done for myself.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding has been a positive lifestyle change for me. It's taught me self-control, dedication and consistancy with my own life, not only in the gym but in my life too. Training is by far the best therapy in the world. The gym NEVER disappoints me, never laughs at me when my hair isn't perfect and is always there when i need it.
How I Stay Motivated:
These days it's not a common thing to see a girl my age who's trying to take care of their body and when I see over weight girls it makes me push out one more rep than I thought I could do. I've never been serisously over-weight & will never reach that point!
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
GET A TRAINER!! It will be worth it. They can help you setup a diet plan and plan workouts that you can do with them and on your own. Remember: Diet is key!!

Having a workout partner is awesome...especially on leg day! He pushes me harder than I can push myself so I can achieve the results I want. Used to live in CDA back in 2000-2003. I see your profile says you are back and forth between CDA and Spokane, so I don't really know if it was the same gym. It's OZ Fitness now, but back then it was 24 Hour Fitness. I hear they had to go through some "changes":/
