When I Started:
Feb, 2007
How I Started:
I was a high level triathlete for several years, however, just as my "professional" career began, it stopped. I went blind after a race, and was told to stop racing and training, all this 1 month before worlds!! I ended up needing throat surgery, and went from being 165 pounds at 7% body fat to being 155 pounds and god knows what percent body fat. I then started my first year of university, and followed through with that. I eventually got fed up with not doing any endurance sports, so I decided to enter into a body building competion in August 2007. I began training for this competition in February 2007.
Why I Love It:
First of all, it is something new, its not a 5 hour run on a sunday morning, or a 6 hour bike ride in the middle of the summer heat. So the change of pace so to speak has really made this fun. I also enjoy it because I can have a training partner, who is not worried about "keeping up" and I love that.
Also who's kidding I like my larger "more muscular" frame that i am slowly getting!
How I Stay Motivated:
I like to attend any local body building shows. I find these shows really add fuel to the fire. I am also lucky to have some good friends and family that help me out.

I would like to get JACKED, and compete in my first all natural body building competition!
Goal (Long):
I used to be the fat. So I lost the weight. I used to be the shy kid, so I began talking a lot. I used to be the scrawny kid (thanks to triathlon) and now I want to be big.
I work at a Popeye's Supplements store, and there I made a bunch of friends, but there was one in particular that got me on this path. Chris, he with very little effort was able to talk me into doing our first show together. So as of February 2007 I set off on my journey to become an amateur body builder.
I know work out 5 times a week, and I eat a lot. In one month i have gone from a small 165 frame, to 190 pounds. Mind you, thanks to the monohydrates i am taking, i am sure a lot of it is water weight, and with my 4400 calorie diet, some of it is fat. But I can see a real difference in my strength, and I am beginning to really see improvements in my body.
I look forward to what is to come of my body, life and goals in life.
Holy Crap, between christmass break where I left to see my parents, and a new semester at school, I have not been on this site in ages.
I do have great news though, I somehow have managed to increase my weight, to 185 pounds with only 0.3% increase from my original percentage. I am very...
OMG...I'm SO jealous! Its been cold and rainy on the prairies! YUCK! Life has been interesting! lol But i'm moving to Texas this summer and looking forward to some real heat! FIRST though...i'm becoming Canadian! SO I can always return to the place that has been home most of my life! lol
At least poor LKWB had proper form. It was everything I could do to not go to leg extensions and mention that's what I (in my short stature, not-muscular-enough frame) just did so I *know* he can do more.
We had a competitor gym open up this week...it took a little of the crazyness off our gym...which honestly i dont mind. I'm finding it a challenge to train without interruption for my first competiton right now! lol.
