Was a competetive swimmer growing up -- mainly distance. I was in great shape, but very skinny. Once I quit swimming, I stayed skinny, but in my 30's developed a gut -- quite an attractive look. After a few abortive and ill-informed attempts to lift weights (you know, trying to use every piece of equipment in the gym everytime I went in and getting totally burned out with little progress) I got some good advice about splits and rest and finally stuck with it.
It was only after about 6 months into a regular lifting schedule that I really began to look at nutrition and finally started gaining some good weight. Although that's always a struggle for me and I've got a long way to go to be where I want to be. And where I want to be always seems to be moving, like the horizon. Ok, that was a little too picturesque - I'm done.
Why I Love It:
I like the satisfaction of a good work out. I like the results I see and the compliments from others. It gives me a sense of well being and confidence.
How I Stay Motivated:
I'm pretty much addicted. I don't feel right if I'm off my schedule or slacking off.
BB Accomplishments:
Hell, just making it to the gym on a regular basis is an accomplishment.

Thanks Trib! You look great bro. I can see some time spent on diet and training. Keep exploring. Try a picture standing straight with the mindset of shoving your chest to your chin. Blow all your air out too trying to suck your stomach to your backbone. Later on.
Hey guy, your comments are hilarious! Your progress is impressive. Keep up the hard work. Chest is showing nice separation and the abs, shoulders, and arms are getting ripped.
You've come miles from the 2003 picture. Good to see. You should take a picture of your bicep and compare it to your 2003 picture. Are still clean bulking? What ever your doing its working well for you.
Post up the pics! I'll be taking new measurements and pictures around October 1st. I stepped on the scale at 196.5 today. I have to get down to 180ish by April 5th for a competition in MN. The hair removal is tough, but I have to get my skin used to it.
