Alcester Community Fitness/Whatever City I'm worki
Gym Location:
Alcester, South Dakota
When I Started:
Nov, 2004
How I Started:
Sad to say but in prison. I used to have a bad problem with drugs and alcohol, but thanks to working out and staying fit I've been sober ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing the gains and seeing how far I've come(I've came a long ways If you knew me you'd think the same.I love my new body...and for the girls:)
How I Stay Motivated:
By reading up on as much info on lifting and nutrition as I can. Plus hearing other peoples storys of how they've come along.
BB Accomplishments:
When I started lifting I was somewhere around 145lbs 6 months ago I was up to 185 lbs and 16 1/2 inch bis. I then hurt my shoulder I weigh 165lbs now and have lost an inch on my bis. I just started getting back into it a couple a days ago (had to take 6 months off cause of the shoulder.. It suxs but I look forward to getting back to where I was and more.. Right before I hurt my shoulder I hit 300 on my bench I now can't wait to get back to that and 315.
Would like to gain 5lbs by June 1st. Plus 1/4 in on my bis.
Goal (Long):
In the long run I would like to get my weight up to 195lbs. I'd like my bench to get up to 350 right along with 18 inch arms. At least once enter a contest. Mabe by sept of 2008 for my trip down to Houston, Texas.
I allways used to think you take your Creatine and your protein Shake after your workout.. I read plenty of articles in Magizines such as Muscle Mag, Muscle & Fitness,etc... Recently I've read a couple of articles saying that one should not take the two together stating that they will...
I work out 5 days a week, of course when I'm on the road this can change cause of work. Right now I'm hitting 3-4 sets at 6-10 rep range.I'm hitting the lower rep range so I can gain strength and put on that extra weight that I want to achieve. I try to get in 2-3 cardio sessions a week at...
Sounds like you are staying busy. I know what you mean about a new routine, the change really shocks your body and works it in a different way. Glad to see you are changing it up, sometimes it is easy to get in a rut. Hope you have a great B-Day!!!
I hate that I am going to have to miss the Colo Pro-Am, as I have been out of work, and low on money, due to a labor dispute at work. It was a great show last year, but I will now shoot for a late June or early July show. I compete in the Open Middleweight division, which is a long way from the big boys. I think you would get a lot out of competing, as it really forces you to focus on a very specific goal. Keep me posted.
Don't worry about being too old to enter a contest. I competed for the first time when I was 39 and plan to keep it up until I can't. Man, I envy you with a Tool show in June. I 've seen them twice in the last two weeks. What an experience, the best shows I've seen in a long time. Keep it going in the gym and eat to grow. Good luck to you!!!
Looking good, keep it up. Our taste in music is almost idenical, saw Tool twice in the last two weeks. Going aagain Sat. in OKC. Lift hard and eat harder and the size will come.
What up dude? I did legs today and got a good gain after taking two weeks off.
Any ways keep liften sissy cuz you'll see me alot quicker than you thought.
Great arms, Travis. I'm not going to arm wrestle you for the tab! :) Take care of the shoulder. Old farts like me can tell you shoulders take a long time to fix so don't force it too quickly. You've got lots of time ahead of you to get to the point where you can lift that 1/4 ton bench :)
