I started lifting to work on upper body strength for the throwing events in track.
Why I Love It:
I love it because it gives me a sense of accomplishment, like I achieved something. Nothing is better than after a workout knowing you gave it everything you had to build strength.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just finished up my senior year, and high school track season. I'll be going to college this fall. I want to stay in shape and get stronger so I can join the power lifting team.
BB Accomplishments:
-well not bodybuilding, but because I lifted well for a year I made indoor states in shot put in 2007 :)
-being able to leg press 500!(over 3 times my bodyweight).
-incline leg pressing 390!
-doing dips, using the chain and the 45lb plate :D
-13 consecutive pull-ups!
-1x8 bicep curls with the 50lb dumbbells
-bench press 1x5 at 150!

Great photos. You can curl 50# dumbells 8X and bench 150# 10X?! I don't know if I could do that and you're a 17 year old girl. Awesome! Check out my site kylepounds.info and see if you can beat me in any of my exersizes.

Hey, my training is going well. I backed off the weights just a lil, so i can focus more on basketball training. lol.. what do you mean more or less? I'm sure you did great! But, are you ready for the summer?
Hey, sorry it took me soo long to get back to you, I couldnt figure out my password for my profile,haha, Indoor went well, I ended up taking 3rd in the weight throw, and 10th in shotput, and Outdoor nationals went rpetty well too, I took 12th in the discus I think, and then took 6th in the Hammer throw, so I was pretty happy about that, but I think I couldve done alot better if I couldve gotten my finish to follow through properly, how was your season?
Congrats on winning, sounds like you are doing it big. I wish i could say the same. I'm doing ok in high jump, but I'm not where I want to be as of yet. A little more practice, and I'll be there by conference finals. But keep it up, I want to know how you do.
