How I Started:
Having a baby young gave me little time to work out. Being a single mom, you don't get much time to yourself, and when you do, all you want to do is relax. I packed on about 25-30 pounds and kept it on for probably 7-8 years. I finally got sick of feeling tired and out of shape so I just started in. Tae Bo to start with, eating better and then I added weights. I lost 40 pounds. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon for the past 2 years so I'm now starting over but thankfully I don't have 40 pounds to lose this time!
Why I Love It:
I can't say that I love the actual working out, but I do love how it makes me feel. I love seeing my body transforming into something strong. When my muscles are showing, my body isn't "jiggling" and I feel energized, it reminds me why I work out! The feeling afterwards is the reason I work out.
How I Stay Motivated:
My boyfriend and the "before" pics. Ugh!! They are not pretty! LOL But seriously, muscle mags, the desire to be fit and trim and to have the endurance to do other things in my life. With every advance, I get inspired to keep going and work hard.
BB Accomplishments:
None as of yet, but my intention is to be tight and toned before 2008. I may not compete, but I want to look like I do!

139 lbs. Very flabby and no muscle tone. I have a body fat % of 32!! I can't stand it anymore, so I'm doing something about it now!
Still a quite away away from the total goal, but starting to see something helps keep me motivated!
I want to feel sexy again. Need to lose some fat and get those muscles showing!
Goal (Long):
I want to be rock solid ... is that too much to ask? LOL I want a flat stomach, toned thighs, shapely arms and a lifted up butt! I am currently at about 30% body fat ... OUCH! I want that to go down drastically. I'd be happy with 22%, at least for now. I would really like to fit into my "skinny" jeans again and feel confident in a bikini. I may not be huge, but I am not in shape either and it affects my work, my ambition and my stamina. I just want to feel good about me again and look hot in the process!
Hello everyone. I was hoping that I could get some advice on how to do my workouts. Ex. which muscle groups should I put together on Monday, Tuesday, etc. ?? Right now I've been lifting but I don't feel like I have a good routine laid out and would love some suggestions!
I'm glad to see that you want to be healthy again. I know it's hard to find the time to workout with kids. I;m glad I found a gym with day care. Keep up the good work

Well, I dont know if you "feel" sexy yet but I can say that you absolutly look it! So, I guess you're at least half way to your goal?!

I understand what you mean. Well I would like to encourage you to remember your goals and realize that we will all have our set backs but as long as you don't give up, you WILL succeed. You are accomplishing your #1 goal as a parent and that's way better than a six pack! I wish you well for the new year.
