I started dancing (ballet, jazz, etc.)when I was 11 years old and continued until 2nd year university, then school and work took over. I started running as a hobby, but lost a lot of muscle in the process; I was fit, but I was skinny fat. My brother who has been lifting for years told me about bodybuilding.com...the rest is history...
Why I Love It:
It gives energy, confidence and motivation to every aspect of my life, and its my way of relieving stress. I love seeing the changes in my body, and comparing my muscles now to pictures taken just a year ago. Plus I love how men 3 times my size get intimidated by women who aren't afraid to lift heavy.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at pictures of Valerie Waugaman and Jamie Eason.
Yesterday after realizing I was low on protein/supplements and not being able to wait for shipping...I had to face my #1 pet peeve..going to the sports supplement store.
Not that I hate the actual store per se...I love browsing through all the different stuff, rather its the sports...
Now that some serious results. You must have the right gentic make up for msucle gain. Plus you are doing it right also. How your strength gains coming?
Yeah, I've been on here for a couple months now and it's great! Good to see someone I actually know on here. You're getting great results from you workout, great job!
I said the exact same thing!! Esp after I went to the Emerald Cup and saw just how buff the competitors were! Just diet carefully and don't overdo the cardio and you should be able to keep most, if not all, of your muscle. Good luck with your comp!!
Just read your blog and totally agree!! Just finished a three month bulk (went from 116 to 124)It was really hard! Now I'm working on leaning back up and after three months of eating (and Eating!!LOL) it's tough to jump on the diet wagon! Good luck to you!
