I began lifting in highschool for football, but was never extremely serious about it. Then I started college and due to a free gym membership, decided it was time to get serious about lifting weights. I've been working out diligently ever since.
Why I Love It:
There is nothing like the feeling you have driving home after you have had an awesome workout. Getting noticed for your changes is also a plus.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's become second nature for me and if I miss a workout I feel as if I forgot to eat, sleep or shower. Having an "ideal" body type to strive for and reminding yourself of it when you feel particularly unmotivated is a great way to regain your drive though.
I want to increase my strength in all areas (primarily my bench, squat and deadlift) to where their combined weight is 1,000 lbs. I want to have a maintainable weight of around 215 lbs. and a bodyfat percentage of 7%. I want to accomplish these goals by June of 2009.
Yo brotha comp was a TON of fun, can't wait to hit up another one in 09'. Gonna start packing on the lbs though I came in as one of the lightest in weight in my class (juniors). Trying to get up to at least 200lbs well see though haha. Ya gym just hasnt been the same
thanks for the grey rep. I didn't explain everything because his statements were obviously incorrect. I don't need to explain why 2+2 does not = 3, do I?
