Hi,
I would recommend a few supplements -
omega oil (pharmaceutical grade, I like Ascenta NutraSea), a multivitamin (Life Extension carries good products, and Now Foods), a protein isolate (I like natural ones like AllMax IsoNatural or Now Foods Natural). For females, you may have water retention and this can be controlled with dandelion root, uva ursi, and a few others.
I recommend a high fiber and high protein diet with low glycemic index carbs.
Hope that helps a bit,
Eric

Hi,
I really don't have problem with motivation. I trained with a partner and that helps. You make a commitment with them. Also, I write down my measurements on a consistent basis. Keep a journal too.

That's good cardio. Just make sure you are mixing it up. Also for weight training, short rests. Your weight training can be cardio as well.
If you have been jacked on various supplements, maybe you should consider a liver and colon cleanse. Make sure to stick to the basics, protein, multivitamins/mineral, and omega oil

Also, little things many people avoid like stretching, will help with oxygen and nutrient transport to cells.
With better flexibility, you will definitely benefit.

Funny how a lot of supplements nowadays are loaded with caffeine too. Wonder why? Because it is cheap! Much cheaper than other stimulants which are also not good.
Before a workout I will typically eat a fast digesting meal. Sometimes a shake with a banana. Other times I will eat some eggs and fruit.

Caffeine is pretty bad for you. It causes insulin insensitivity, jacks up stress hormone, and hampers muscle growth.

Lots of factors will determine how easily you shed the body fat. Stress, and lack of sleep are common problems that hinder results.
Are your meals spread nicely throughout the day? Are you eating low glycemic carbs? Do you have too much caffeine in your diet? Many other questions I could ask. Try to do high intensity interval cardio to shed the fat.

Hey,
Thanks for the question. Well, I am very active - I do weights and cardio 5-6x's per week. On intense training days, I consume around 3500 cal (about 400gm carbs, 250gm protein, and 80gm fat).
When I am cutting weight, I intake probably around 2500cal (300gm carb, 200gm protein, and 60gm fat).

It was my client's first show as well.
And no, I didn't compete. I may some day at 190lbs. I have had a few bumps in the road. I hurt my knee at the beginning of my cutting cycle. I went for a running after doing squats. I really never do that because muscles are tight. BAD IDEA.
Then recently I had gum surgery and can't train for another few days.
It is really cool that you are taking the same program as I did. You will have to tell me what profs you get.

Hey, well... I don't recommend drinking. I do drink on special occasions but that is about it. The tolerance stays low and I can get a buzz fairly easy. This is also good as it saves money. You might realize drinking in not worth it soon enough, you are still young.
Look at all those pretty girls in your picture? You definitely don't need to drink! :)

Well, nortern California was nice... I haven't been that far south. I don't think the southern part has a much nature... it is a concrete jungle.
I wanted to visit Boston, I trained a client from there and heard very nice things.
My next trip is Chicago, another great American city.
How is training going?

Hey man,
If you want to get in really good shape, you have to cut back on the booze. If you want to continue drinking, make sure you drink fast and on an empty stomach. Get buzzed on fewer calories.
The alcohol is loaded with cals, never mix drinks. I'd say stick with wine. The alcohol with shrink many things including; brain, muscles, and male organ. lol. It also, puts too much stress on your liver. Your liver already has a job processing supplements.
