Overall Goal: Get rid of the fat and pump up the muscle.
Fit Status:
Motivation level is staying put at TEN. I can't even remember the last time I missed a workout. I'M GOING TO REACH EVERY GOAL.

When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
Started strength/cardio training in 2002, but left off after a couple years and gained the weight back.
Why I Love It:
It feels terrific, and I love seeing the changes in my body in a relatively short time frame.
How I Stay Motivated:
The changes are a terrific motivator, and after a while the positive part of this process just feeds itself. It's a positive cycle that is self-sustaining. I love hearing comments from others, but try not to use these to gauge my success, as I prefer to use my own terms as better indicators. I'll be 40 next year, and I want to look and feel the best of my adult life when it happens.

Time to revise this goal ... by October, I'm going to weigh 200 lbs, and be around 12% BF or less. I'll probably reach goal before the target date, but it's going to happen. At that point I will have lost the big 100 lbs. I've met my original goal of weighing 225 by Mem Day weekend. Time to move on to the next.
kcmoto inspires me because he's a local fella who was in the same shape I was in at one time, but he did something about it and continues to stick with it. Makes me want to do exactly the same-
Mike is what this is all about. His transformation transcends the changes in his body and you can tell it affects his whole life. As a result, all of the people around him benefit and he has become an important piece in the lives of many others. Thanks for helping others find the way to health and well-being, Mike. YOU ROCK!
What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
I generally follow the principles from Body for Life (Bill Phillips). Basically, six meals a day. A protein, a carb, a vegetable with each meal. Calories are currently around 2500/day, gradually being increased as I make gains in the gym.I generally follow the principles from Body for Life (Bill Phillips). Basically, six meals a day. If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
Telling them gets them as excited as I am, and it feeds my desire to make it happen.
Been a while since I have frequented the forums in here, but this week it seems like I've rediscovered the place for motivation and inspiration. It really is a tremendous resource. Ran three miles at lunch today, to Liberty Memorial and back to the office downtown. Been going further...
I use the Body for Life method. It works perfectly for my lifestyle and schedule, and maximizes the results for all body parts trained when done correctly. I feel terrific on this program.
Mon-Wed-Fri = strength training
Tue-Thu-Sat = cardio training
Your photos are inspiring to say the least. The weight loss is something you have to be very proud of. Keep up the great work. I have some old photos of me and I'm telling you, when I look at them I am amazed. Thank you for adding me and your kind remarks.

Thanks man. I did cheat, though.
I'm on week 3 of IGF and am leaning out like crazy. That's really all I want. I feel really healthy, too.
I'm looking forward to getting back to running again. I gotta drop about another 10 lbs and I'll be gtg.
Where r u livin these days?
I cant log on from my Blackberry anymore, thus my decreased activity.
I hope all is well and that you are abundantly blessed.
Yup just last night I got a final set up on incline dumbbell press with the 145lbs dumbbells, really if I wasn't the person doing it I could believe my lil wrist could support that much per arm and then to top it all off -2lbs drop this morning! I can all ready tell by ur avi that u are still dropping son, that is awesome!
