When I Started:
Sep, 2000
How I Started:
I dated an amateur bodybuilder and that is how I discovered my hidden passion for the sport of bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
I love how it makes me feel; I love to challenge myself physically; I love the discipline and regimen when preparing for a show; I love how inspirational a good pump is. I also love that feeling of exhaustion when I am finished with my workouts, this invigorates me.
How I Stay Motivated:
A will and desire to succeed and be the best I can be is what motivates me. I strive to improve and always find new ways to keep it interesting if things become a bit monotanous.
BB Accomplishments:
I have competed in 4 shows now. The June 2006 Ultrabodies in the UK, Oct 2006 U.S. Armed Forces Europe Bodybuilding Competition sponsored by WNBF/INBF. I won both lightweight and overall classes in both shows and earned my pro card as a Natural Female BB'r.
I won my weightclass at the June 2007 Bev Francis Atlantic States in NYC this past June. The Arnold Amateur Classic last year did not go as well as I was hoping for; diet went wrong in the end along with some personal issues that were affecting my overall performance. All in all, it was an amazing experience to compete on stage with other FBB'rs that were far and beyond amateur in my opinion. To stand next to some of those ladies was truly a humbling experience and one I will never forget.
I have much work to do between now and my next show in late 2009, as a figure girl this time. We shall see....

I did not do too well at this show and its my own fault cause the diet went all wrong...plus other issues that affected my mental and physical state and presentation that day.
Overall, it was an amazing experience and a humbling one to compete on that stage with national level competitors as an a ...

Goal (Long):
My goal is to compete on a National level or reach pro status as a natural female bodybuilder as a natural female BB'r. My main focus is bringing up my legs which have been my weakest point as far as my stage physique is concerned along with adding some size and density to my frame. Team U didnt go as I hoped. Once again, diet was an issue and too many changes were made at the end. Im still learning as this was my 5th show...I have another in 5 wks.
I feel better about this show and how I will present myself to the judges. Im sad about my outcome at Team U, but its all a learning experience and it just motivates me to get better and to never give up. I just gotta get the diet straight! lol Diet can make or break you for a show..the last week is crucial to dial in. It glues together all the work an athlete had done in their offseason and throughout weeks of show prep.
Nothing wasted...a lot learned! Moving foward with a vengenance and a vision...never give up on yourself! Your mind will guide your body. I got my "A" game on! Oct 31 will be a good day for me.
