Growing up I was extremely athletic and into sports like soccer and basketball. During High School, I started to struggle with some family problems. I lost interests in athletics and began escaping through music and drugs. In college I developed an addiction to drugs that I battled up until age 25. On January 29th, 2006 I nearly died from starvation (I weighed 127 pounds)and finally got help for my drug addiction. After 15 months of sobriety I had gained 40 pounds (and not the good kind). I committed myself to fitness and haven't looked back ever since.

My experience in the little over a year I've been working out, is the battle is truely won in the kitchen. Complete body transformation requires complete dedication to eating healthy. For me, getting to the gym 5-7 times a week is easy. The difficult part is eating clean 5-6 times a day...
