I have worked out on and off since 1996. I have pretty good genetics and have been involved in activities that have helped me stay in fairly good shape when not in the gym. School, work, girlfriends and just pure laziness has caused me to take "breaks" Living in southern California and surfing has motivated me to get back in shape and not be ashamed to take my shirt off at the beach!
So I weighed myself yesterday upon arrival to the gym. It is the second time I have weighed myself this year. The first being the first week of Jan. My weight on that day was between 160 and 161. Last night I tipped the scales at 166! Now I am not so concerned about weight gain even if it...

yeah, i know what you mean. my wife supports whatever i do, but she doesnt see what i see when i look in the mirror. i am disgusted with how big i let myself get, but i am changing all that now! you are probably your own worst critic like myself. i will keep in touch with you, and hope i can help keep you motivated! good luck!
Yeah I'm in the upstate of SC. Been lifting semi-heavy now for 3 weeks after letting the pulled muscle heal, hope the good workouts continue. Look forward to seeing more of your pics - man you got a big chest!
