I was always pretty skinny. I was only 140lbs at 5'11. I played basketball and was always getting pushed under the rim. A lot of the guys in my neighborhood started working out and were getting big. So I felt I wanted to see what I could do. I spent the first 6 months working out with a buddy on his weider bench which he had setup in his bedroom. After that I went onto workout at one of the most hardcore gyms in New York City, Powerhouse Gym in the Bronx.
Why I Love It:
I have been involved in the industry for a while. I was a manager of one of New York's largest sports nutrition departments. I learned a lot from the pros and am a licensed trainer. It makes me feel good. Obviously the attention that I get from being in shape is also nice, but I really enjoy being in the gym and challenging myself. I am certain that this will be a lifelong adventure.
How I Stay Motivated:
I read bodybuilding magazines and bodybuilding.com. I attend as many shows as I can. Usually the New York Pro and NPC Team Universe are my regular stops. I always look forward to trying out new routines and diet plans.

Teen Class B - 2nd Place

Light-Heavyweight - 12th place
I finally found the show that I want to do. I am going to compete in the NPC Bill Grant Classic on July 18th. I am weighing in at 245 currently and will aim for a weight of 215 to 220lbs. I will start the prep 16 weeks out. Now this is a long period but I feel that I need the time to...
