Well, I'm starting to get a little V taper. I can't wait to see where I'll be by the end of the year.
I have lost over 125 pounds in the last year and a half, and I want to fulfill a lifelong dream of having the perfect body.
Goal (Long):
Most of my adult life I have been overweight. for the last 15 years I have been riding a weight rollercoaster, with my weight swinging from over 300 pounds to as low as 200 pounds. About a year and a half ago I'd finally had enough, and decided to try to lose it the right way. I weighed 310 pounds in December 2005. In January 2006, I started doing weight watchers, and also increasing my activity levels. I'm not sure what got into me, but I finally seemed to have the willpower to do it. I slowly dropped the weight, and somewhere along the way, my goals changed. When I started I just said to myself, "If I can get below 200 pounds, I'll be happy" As I got closer to that goal, I said to myself, "Why be happy with a weight, why not take it to the next level, and transform my body". At that point I decided to start bodybuilding to see if I could look like the guys in the Muscle and Fitness Magazines. I actually lost weight down to 185 pounds, the lowest I'd been in years, and now I'm on the way back up, building Muscle. I now weigh 190 pounds. It's a strange thing for me now. All of those years as a Fat guy, worrying that I was eating too much, to now being a fit guy, worrying that I'm not eating enough. I'm far from being where I want to be, but I'm on the right track to get there.
I'm still working out, and following my diet (mostly). I'm making progress. It's pretty cool to see the changes taking place, and to have people notice. There are a couple of gals I work with that noticed one day. The one said I have Football player shoulders (they are getting broader), and...
Thank you for your comments Terry-what an awesome transformation you have done!I know you are right and I am doing it slowly but surely-making little changes every week to increase activity and be conscious of my nutrition. In a world full of quick fixes and instant gratification it can be difficult sometimes :)
